About the Madison A Better Chance Program
In public and private secondary schools throughout the country, the A Better Chance (ABC) Program provides an opportunity for students from economically and educationally disadvantaged environments to prepare for college and graduate school. The ABC Program selects students who have demonstrated high academic motivation, emotional stability and leadership qualities. The ABC philosophy encourages students to become responsible, productive and contributing leaders who use their education to assist and enhance the lives of others in their communities.
For 39 years, Madison ABC has provided deserving students sound academic preparation at Daniel Hand High School and the benefits of living in Madison. The Madison ABC experience continues to make a difference in the lives of individuals and in our community.
Support of Madison ABC relies totally on contributions from individuals, businesses, churches, organizations, special project activities and partial support from the ACT II Thrift Shop
